It's that time of year again! Lots of enquiries are coming in about my courses. Great! It's good to talk to potential students, I'm always more than happy to answer questions and give guidance. People are generally a bit bewildered about the range of courses out there and what they should be looking for so I thought I'd blog a few bits of advice.
First of all you need to be sure that your course is a Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology. There are various different awarding bodies offering this diploma and on paper the syllabus looks similar. So how to choose? I'd say the key questions to ask are:
Who is the tutor?
What are his/her teaching and therapy qualifications?
How long has she/he been teaching this course?
How many students in the group?
How is the course assessed?
Is there on-going support after completion?
Many students who've already completed a diploma course come to me for additional training as they don't feel confident to start their own practice.
My background is a bit unusual as I'm a teacher-turned-therapist. I've been teaching since 1971 and started teaching complementary therapies, including reflexology back in 1994. So you could say I've been at it for a while!!!
So what should you do if you think you might like to enrol with me?
1. Have a good look at my website and other schools' sites.
2. Email or phone me with any queries or just to register an interest.
3. Have a good think.
4. If you decide to go ahead download an enrolment form and return it to me. (Or I can post you one.)
Final date for enrolment - Tuesday August 31st 2010. (If places still remaining.)
Super special offer to help you decide - I'm offering a limited number of my training DVDs absolutely free so you can see the techniques you'll be learning and get an idea of my teaching style! Just email your address.
